Oracle 11g to Oracle 12c Upgrade – BO Webi Report issue (ORA-04030: out of process memory & ORA-00920: Invalid Relational Operator)

Business Objects Webi reports with huge number of objects (huge SQL) which was refreshed successfully when the report runs on Oracle 11g database.

As part of the organization upgrade program, all the Oracle databases have been upgraded to Oracle 12c. Post upgrade, some of BO reports with huge SQL are not refreshed and throws “ORA-04030: out of process memory” & “ORA-00920: Invalid Relational Operator” error. These issues are inconsistent for the same report and some time it throws out of process memory error and some time it throws Invalid relational Operator error.

ORA-04030: out of process memory issue:

ORA-00920: Invalid Relational Operator issue:

To overcome the above issues, you need to apply the patch 26608238 on top of Oracle upgrade 12c system. After the patch update, reports were refreshing fine and not issues occurred.
